The Harrison County Economic Alliance Corporation – (The Alliance) was created in 2008 from the merger of three previous entities providing economic development revolving loan funds. The Alliance continues to promote the economic prosperity of Harrison County businesses through direct loans and a reduced-rate loan program with the cooperation of numerous local banks and the Cities of Bridgeport, Clarksburg, and Shinnston.

Harry Green – In 1959, Harry L Green Jr., and Jonnie Priestly Green purchased the existing Chevrolet dealership in Clarksburg. The dealership operated under the direction of Harry L. Green Jr. at that location until 1964 when it was moved to Old Bridgeport Hill and grew to its present number of 115 employees. Mr. Green and his family always understood that any successful business has to be an integral part of the fabric of the community which it serves. Harry Green Chevrolet has always tried to keep faithful to this business philosophy. As the business grew, two new automotive franchises were added. Hornor Brothers Engineering – HBE is the oldest engineering firm in WV and was established by brothers Carl L. Hornor and Paul S. Hornor in 1902. Meadowbrook Mall – A regional shopping mall in Bridgeport, West Virginia. It was built in late 1982 by the Cafaro Company of Youngstown, Ohio. The original architrecture and engineering was done by the Keeva J. Kekst company. The mall includes two Elder-Beerman department stores, J.C. Penney, and Target. The North Central West Virginia Airport – (CKB) is a public airport owned and operated by the Benedum Airport Authority.
